Arinze Eleazar Ononwu
Arinze Ononwu is a Professional Accountant with over two decades of financial industry experience covering finance, fund accounting, auditing, risk management, compliance, and portfolio management.
Over the last twenty years he has worked in various capacities with the Zenith Bank Group, Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO) Plc, Sigma Pensions Limited (now Access Pensions Limited), and Nigerian University Pension Management Company (NUPEMCO) Limited.
The last sixteen years have seen him handle various management roles in the pension industry, the most recent of which was as Head of Investment of NUPEMCO Limited where he helped grow the company’s Assets Under Management by over 50% in less than two years. Prior to joining NUPEMCO Limited, he was the Chief Compliance Officer of Sigma Pensions Limited.
Arinze’s other senior management roles include Head, Finance and Accounting and Head, Risk Management, both with Sigma Pensions Limited. Prior to joining Sigma Pensions, he was the Accountant and Fund Manager for Zenith Life Insurance Company Limited.
He is a graduate of Accountancy, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and an Alumni of Lagos Business School.
