Uloaku Ekwegh was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003, having obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus in 2001. She subsequently obtained her Master of Laws from the University of Lagos in 2008, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Nigeria (ICSAN) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (Nigeria Branch).
She started her post-NYSC professional career with Lanke Odogiyon Chambers, Kaduna in 2004, before joining the Law Union, Lagos in 2007. She was with the Law Union till September 2011 before leaving for the UAC of Nigeria Plc, where she handled multiple tasks as the Contracts and Intellectual Property Manager – a position she held for about eight years.Prior to joining Fidelity Pension Managers, she worked as a Legal / Governance consultant for KNN Corporate Services Limited, where she provided legal advisory, company secretarial and corporate governance services.
Uloaku is skilled in corporate governance, intellectual property, corporate restructuring(mergers, acquisitions etc) company secretarial functions, real property transactions, information and communications technology law, contract documentation, arbitration, and legal, tax & statutory compliance.She holds a certificate in corporate governance & board evaluation from ICSAN and another from the Institute of Management Consultants.She has also written several articles on various business – related issues ranging from corporate governance to legal compliance.
